As I grew up, the only name synonym to terrorism was 'DAWOOD' and Pakistan militants during childhood. There was no Taliban, no ISIS and no Bo Ko haram. Then the 'in'famous 1993 Mumbai blasts happened. I was always hyperanxious to know about his Dawood and his whereabouts. I always dreamt that one day or the other this 'B......' would be brought to India and made to face the trial here. So many governments came and went. Everyone made tall claims of capturing Dawood Alive or Dead. I used to feel pretty patriotic at times. But I was pretty innocent and didn't know these politicians. Then US carried out the secret attack on Abbotabad and captured OSAMA dead. Wondered when would India do that?
Okay enough of background. Today I read the news that Dawood wanted to surrender. I first laughed at the news. Dawood is not a fool. Then Jethmalani made the claim, one Ex-Police Officer made the claim. I ignored and then Shakeel made the claim. But quite surprisingly Mr. Sharad Pawar the then Chief Minister also claims that indeed Dawood had made an offer. 'WHAT...'? I switched on the TV, surfed various channels, surfed the news. The news made me really excited. Boy what happened, why is Dawood not in India then?
To my and am sure everyone's surprise, Mr. Pawar says THE Dawood offer was conditional and hence rejected. So what? Dawood had put up a condition that he shouldn't be arrested and should be tried from his residence. Mr. Pawar are you seriously kidding us or taking us for ride or are you just joking? And do you want us to believe you or you think we are all fools here.
Agreed, you are a shrewed and cunning politician, but which fool in the world would have given this version and expected people to believe. I don't want to drag it further. Only five questions which I myself not able to understand.
1. Have you not ever gone back on your words, if you think you are so moral and ethical person and man of words. You think you are driven by your values and ethics? Well just to remind you we all know you did oppose Sonia's PM Candidature due to her foreign origin, you broke out . But didnt you support her party, didn't you join hands with her. How many times have you broken out from Congress and joined back with them?
2. Dawood is most wanted criminal since 1993. Who were you to reject the offer? Which states did you consult, did you share the intelligence with the Central Government?
3. Even for a second we assume that Dawood's condition of no arrest was accepted, were you not sure that he would be convicted for his past crimes?
4. Was it not more wise to have Dawood kept him in India under Indian Jurisdiction than keeping him outside country and keep spending millions of dollars in searching him and making tall claims that he would be brought to India?
5. One last thing, were you hand in gloves with Dawood? Did you compromise India's National Interest for your own? Now tell us where is Dawood?
Mr. Pawar why should you not be arrested and case filed against you for compromising national security, for not acting in the best interest of the country and indirectly helping terrorist?
Pawar Sahab Jawab do...
